5/5 Stars - AUDIOBOOK
This is my favorite book. Laurel witnesses her mother murder a man when she is 16. This event gives them a secret kept between them. Now that Laurel's mother is dying, she wants to know the secret that her mother held, leading to the murder. She begins with the one detail she and her mother kept secret and begins to unravel a crazy story. A few points were slow and boring, but I just skipped though them. At the end, when the twist came, I was practically slapped from my chair.
I've since listened to this audiobook twice and taken new things from it each time.
I enjoyed the accent of the narrator so much that I found other books she narrated to enjoy.
